Utorrent WebUI Local Torrent Server Setup
Are you using Utorrent and are looking to be able to manage your local torrent downloads and uploads without actually being at that computer. What I am talking about is the Utorrent WebUI feature that with allow you to access your torrent server, using another pc on your local network. With the right firewall settings you can even access your Utorrent torrent server away from home. If you don’t already have Utorrent, you can download it by click on the link of going to Utorrent.com/downloads.

- Web UI
After you have set the port number for the Utorrent Web UI, you will then need to find out what the ip address is on the torrent server. To find out what the ip address is on the torrent server simply open up the command prompt application and type ipconfig. As you can see my ip address on my torrent server is 10.0.0.100.
Once you know what your port number is on you Utorrent program and what the ip address is on your torrent server. All you have to do now is open a web browser and put the two together. Since my port number is 8080, and my ip address is 10.0.0.100 for this tutorial. I would type http://10.0.0.100:8080/gui/ into the web browser URL address bar. If everything goes well the login box should have popped up, simply login using the user information you setup earlier.
You should now be able to access your Utorrent torrent server using other computers on your local network. All you have to do now is add torrent files to start media expedition.
